Setting Up the Integration

For New Homebase Customers

1. Log in to Shopify.
2. Visit the Homebase page in the Shopify Marketplace.
3. Click Add App.
4. Select the permissions you give to Homebase. This allows Homebase to collect employee information for easy set up, and ongoing sale info so you can track labor vs. sales ratios.
5. You’ll land on the Create Account page.
6. Add your Homebase password, mobile phone number (or business phone), your industry and the number of employees you have.
7. Complete the onboarding questions.
8. Add any employees that didn’t come over from Shopify.

For Existing Homebase Customers

1. In Homebase on the web, click Settings on the left side of the screen and then click POS Connection.
2. Find the Shopify tile and click Connect. This will redirect you to the Shopify marketplace.
3. Log in to Shopify.
4. Click Add App.
5. Select the permissions you give to Homebase.
6. If you have more than one location on Homebase, you will be asked to select a single location to integrate. You can always add more locations by repeating these steps.

Setting Up Homebase Time Clock on Shopify POS

Note: The Homebase account must already be connected to Shopify via POS Connection in Settings before using the Homebase Time Clock app on the Shopify POS.

1. Open Shopify POS by tapping the tile on your iPad home screen and sign into your Shopify account if needed.
2. Enter a manager’s PIN and tap + Add Tile from the bottom of the Shopify POS home screen.
3. Tap App from the list of options, then choose Homebase from your current app list. Select Add to Smart Grid next to Homebase Time Clock.
4. Employees enter their Homebase PIN to clock in, take breaks, and clock out.
5. Hours worked can be found on the Timesheets page from the web or free Homebase mobile app.
