Integration

Homebase integrates with Toast to offer merchants all-in-one scheduling, complete timesheet management, and powerful labor cost and sales reporting. Homebase syncs with Toast per location. If you have multiple Homebase/Toast locations, you must follow the connection steps for each location you wish to connect.

Setting Up the Integration

Prerequisites: Toast Partner Connect

Before connecting to Homebase, ensure that you have enabled Toast Partner Connect and have added Homebase as an integration. Toast Partner Connect unlocks unlimited access to partner services. For Toast Users with multiple locations, Toast Partner Connect must be added for each location.

How to Add Toast Partner Connect

Note: The purchaser must have Account Admin permissions in Toast.

From the Toast website, visit "Shop" on the left-hand menu. (Cannot be accessed from Toast POS Terminal.)

On the Toast Shop page, search Toast Partner Connect.

Select Add to Cart. (If greyed out, it's already added for this location.)

Finalize Purchase.

Important: Toast requires an active connector fee (Toast Partner Connect) to enable third-party integrations. This fee is billed by Toast (not Homebase), and the Homebase integration will not activate until Toast confirms the connector is active.

For New Homebase Customers

Go to joinhomebase.com and select Get Started. Continue through the sign-up flow (takes about 5 minutes).

Log back into Homebase, select the Settings tab on the left menu.

Select POS Connection on the left navigation bar.

Click Connect on the Toast tile. Enter the name of your restaurant exactly as shown in Toast (including spacing and capital letters) and the email of the person who authorized the integration.

Sync your employees and roles from Toast to Homebase.

For Existing Homebase Customers

Select the Settings tab on the left menu.

Select POS Connection on the left navigation bar.

Click Connect on the Toast tile. Enter the name of your restaurant exactly as shown in Toast and the authorizer's email.

Sync your employees and roles from Toast to Homebase.

Syncing Employees and Roles

Select the Team tab, then Add Team > Import from POS.

Review and match employee profiles. Click "Save & Continue."

New employees will automatically be sent an invite to join Homebase.

To sync roles: Go to Schedule > Departments & Roles > Import Roles.

Note: Only the owner of the Homebase account has access to the POS Connection settings page.
